Naval headquarters yesterday announced the demise of a former Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Patrick Koshoni. The naval chief died on January 25, 2020 after a brief illness. Born in Lagos on April 11, 1943, Koshoni joined the navy on the June 11, 1962, after his secondary education at St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Lagos. That same year he started the naval cadetship training at the National Defence Training Academy in India and was commissioned Sub-Lieutenant on July 13, 1964. Left to mourn him is his wife, Mrs. Margaret Koshoni; children and grandchildren.
